The Linear Technology business unit of Schaeffler KG offers a wide range of INA-branded ball-type and roller-type linear guides for any load and accuracy requirements. In addition to high load carrying capacity, maximum rigidity and long service life as well as minimum maintenance requirements, an extremely compact design is a particularly important aspect for linear bearing systems in the miniature and micro areas. To supplement the well-proven KUME four-row miniature ball monorail guidance system, INA Linear Technology therefore offers its KWEM double-row miniature ball monorail guidance system, which represents an extremely compact alternative for the medium and lower load range and boasts high load carrying capacity.
KWEM double-row miniature ball monorail guidance systems are available in four sizes with corresponding guideways (TKDM). They are designed for medium load carrying capacity, medium to high moment loads and accelerations of up to 50 m/s2 or speeds of up to 180 m/s. Their two ball rows are in four-point contact with the raceways. The double-row assemblies consist of at least one carriage with full-complement ball system, locating face and ball retainers as well as a guideway with two locating faces. Customers receive a function-integrated and compact solution that also permits freedom of design.
KWEM double-row miniature ball monorail guidance systems are preloaded, greased and designed for use in temperatures between -40 and +100° Celsius. Special seals at the carriage faces hermetically seal the guidance system and reliably prevent the ingress of dirt. Relubrication is carried out easily via the lubrication holes at the carriage end piece. The guideways can be combined with all available carriage types within the same size and preload class so that an optimal selection can be made. The KWEM-MKS design has a metal end piece. This makes it suitable for applications where especially high temperatures or dynamic forces take effect. All metal parts of this miniature guidance system are made from corrosion-resistant steel.
Miniature linear ball monorail guidance systems are used wherever linear movements of high position and repeat accuracy are called for. They are suitable for use in production and technical mounting systems as well as for microelectronic and medical engineering applications and other precision machines.
