Ningbo Mold Industrial Park selected as national pilot unit

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a notice concerning the final list of the 38 pilot units selected as the third batch of national regional brand building industrial clusters. Ningbo Mold Industrial Park was on this list as the only unit in the mold sector and the very first unit in Ningbo ever received this honor. Located in Binhai New Area, south of Ningbo, the Park covers an area of 1,500 acres with a total construction fund of 3.2 billion yuan co-invested by Ningbo Industry Investment Group and Ninghai County Government for the purpose to promote the transformation from industrial production to modern production and become an advanced mold R & D base. Ningbo is a major ciry for mold industry. Last year, the city's mold industry had 180,000 employees, and achieved an output value of about 450 billion yuan, accounting for about 20% of the national total.
