Conax Technologies announces that its full line of wire and probe adjustable soft-seal fittings, single and multiple, are available in 316L stainless steel material. Combined with Conax-provided sealant materials, these stainless steel feedthroughs are particularly popular for use in petrochemical, pharmaceutical and industrial materials processing environments and can be applied in corrosive environments with pressures ranging from vacuum to 10,000 psi, depending on the sealant material used. The 316L fittings are interchangeable with other Conax standard parts. Conax pressure/vacuum compression sealing feedthroughs are manufactured in threaded NPT, weld neck, O-ring and flanged configurations. Conax's exclusive "soft sealant" technology enables easy assembly by simply inserting the wire or probe and torquing the cap. Use of replaceable sealants permits repeated use of the stainless steel fitting for easy installation and service in the field. Standard sealant materials include Lava, Teflon, Neoprene, Viton and Grafoil. Other sealants are also available for custom requirements. Standard Conax fittings accommodate up to 16 conductors ranging from 24 AWG to 3/4" (.03 mm) diameter or up to 40 probes ranging in size from 0.020 inch (0.5 mm) to 1.25 inch (32 mm) diameter. A wide range of catalog standard compression seal feedthroughs are available from stock, with unlimited custom designs available for unique wire or probe sealing applications.
