Rexroth’s IndraDrive Mi integrated motor and drive takes up significantly less total space than a servo system with separate motor and drive packages, reducing the space and air conditioning energy for the control cabinet and allowing machine builders more design flexibility. In addition, using a single cable to carry both power and SERCOS communications greatly reduces wiring costs. Each additional axis is daisy-chained to the preceding axis with pre-fabricated connectors. Machine builders can easily add programmable servo automation with very limited changes to the main electrical enclosure. The drive is fully compatible with the Rexroth IndraDrive family.
