The Bock TriSystem workholding system, a triangular, six-station workholding system allows a greater range of tool access angles on horizontal machining centers and on vertical machining centers equipped with an indexer.
Four-sided systems, like Bock’s MonoQuad models, typically allow machining of either part on three sides by allowing tool access through 180 degrees. The Try System will allow tool access on six parts through as much as 240 degrees.
Like its four-sided counterpart, the Bock TriSystem consists of a high-strength aluminum column with ground steel gliding surfaces, a two-station clamping mechanism, and a snap-on quick-change jaw system. The clamping mechanism has a built-in third hand$B!&(Bto make part loading easier and more accurate and the machineable jaws can be change from one setup to the next in seconds.
The workholding system is available with a jaw width of 4" (100 mm) and 6" (150 mm) and base plates are custom manufactured to fit the customer’s pallet or indexer systems.
