Tianjin Plan to Build the Largest Steel Products Industrial Park

It is reported that a Steel Product Industrial Park in Beichen district, Tianjin city has been under construction. The park will become the largest hub of steel transactions in China. According to the project planning, the park which will cover an area of 5.45 square kilometers can be regarded as a steel logistic center integrated with the functions of intertransfer and product processing. It will become one of the important parts in Tianjin’s International Logistic System. Beichen Steel Industrial Park site near Nancang Railway Station, the largest marshalling yard in middle China, which provide the park with smooth traffic. Also the two nearby existing steel transaction markets, Chubao and Baochuling Markets, will bring more customers. So far, there have been four steel transaction markets and over 380 settled distributors inside the park. In addition, there are existing warehouses and workplaces covered an area of 1100,000 square meters in the park, where products like sheet steel, section steel, non-ferrous metal, furnace charge, stainless steel etc are mainly dealt with. In the following three to five years, over 1500 enterprises will settle in this steel industrial park. Total amount of steel products being involved in all completed deals every year will hit 12 million tons, worth 60 billion yuan. With about 12,000 employers, the park is expected to create tax payment over 130 million yuan annualy. The founding of this park will not only promote the development of related industries in Tianjin and nearby regions, but will also positively influence the whole northern China’s market.
