RBC CEO to Ring NASDAQ Closing Bell

On July 20, 2006, RBC Bearings Inc. (USA; NASDAQ: ROLL) will take the honors to ring the NASDAQ stock exchange's ceremonial closing bell. Dr. Michael Hartnett, RBC's Chairman, President, and CEO, will ring the bell at 4:00pm Eastern time. The honor is to celebrate RBC's first year as a publicly traded company. RBC went public as of August 10, 2005. Dr. Hartnett commented: "We welcome this opportunity to celebrate our first year of trading on NASDAQ. This period of time has truly been transformational for the company." The last time a bearing company rang in was 1999, when CEO W.R. "Tim" Timken Jr. rang the NYSE opening bell to celebrate Timken's centennial.
