Eaton Expand Hydraulics Business in China Recently, Eaton(US) announced in Shanghai that they have built a hydraulic system plant in Jining, Shandong province, so as to expand the hydraulics business in China. This new plant will be their largest one in Asian and Pacific Area. Eaton, one of US Fortune 500, is a world leading industrial manufacturer, famous for their successful multiple brand extension. Their sales reached USD11.1 billion in 2005 and the latest report shows that their sales have hit USD9.3 billion in the first three quarters 2006. Eaton announced this Feb. that they will raise sale target from USD800 million to 2.5 billion in Asian and Pasific Area by 2010. To achieve this purpose, it will be vital to know how to carry out their business in China. The new plant in Jining is subordinate to Eaton Hydraulic System (Jining) Company, mainly producing hydraulic motors. First stage construction have been complete, over 18,000 square meters workplaces are in use. Eaton enter China in 1993. The Hydraulic System Jining Company is their first presence. From then on, by means of acquisition, joint venture and sole investment, their businesses in China develop at amazing speed. Now, they have had 18 plants, 26 sales offices in China, employing more than 5,000 people.
