Nov.11-Nov.17 Roundup of Steel Markets In China (Nov.11-17) Lower deal volume, limited demand of end-users still dominate the market of bearing steel; distributors are facing huge pressure. Generally, deal price remain as last week without obvious change, but some distributors employ modest price reduction silently. Newly produced bearing steel is becoming available, making price competition more fierce. With the growing capacity of steel makers and the incoordinate demand, it's hard for the price to rise. However, the price reduction will be limited to a lower level, because the existing profit for bearing steel is nearly the bottom line. Given the lasting gloomy of bearing steel market, most distributors believe that it is impossible for the market to revive in this year; in the following days of 2006, price of bearing steel will go on declining slightly. By the end of this week, average price of common bearing steel (GCr15) in major regions of China were 4053 yuan/ton; those of anneal bearing steel were 5642 yuan/ton.
