Roundup of Domestic Bearing Steel Market in December From Jan. to Nov. output of bearing steel totaled 1.916 million tons, increased by 5.6% or 102,000 tons from the same period last year; output of semi-finished bearing steel were 1.768 million tons, 6.4%, about 106,000 tons higher than prior year. However, less bearing steel were produced in November：bearing steel were 181,000 tons; semi-finished products were 1,300 tons. In Dec. the bearing steel market runs with the following characteristics: 1. Declining of Export Continue Statistics from 9 major bearing steel makers show: Bearing steel export in Nov. were 3,313 tons, 15% lower than prior month, 25% lower than previous year. Due to the limited demand for bearing steel worldwide and export restrictions imposed on our steel industry by foreign competitors, Chinese bearing steel industry have been experiencing the export slide since this July. Of course, the declining export has something to do with relatively lower quality. And it's also linked with the fact that China export bearing steels mainly to developing countries and countries with lower request on steel quality. Thus, the decreasing export accompanied by blind expansion of domestic capacity leads to the gloomy domestic market. 2. Domestic Sale and Deal Price Keep in Low Level Stably This feature can be noticed in our monthly price table. 3. Capacity Expansion become Moderated In November, output of bearing steel totaled 1.916 million tons, 10% higher than last month, growth rate decreased by 9 percentage points.
