Baosteel Deliver Bevel Gears to Italian Danieli
Suzhou Metallurgy Manufacturing Factory (hereinafter refered to as "Suzhou factory"), subsidiary of Baosteel Group, has been qualified by Italian Danieli company as supplier for specific spiral bevel gears shortly. And the Suzhou factory already delivered 98 spiral bevel gears of 34 different types to Italy. This group of gears will be equiped on rolling machines for high speed wire.
This is the first time that Baosteel Group make spiral bevel gears meeting the latest international standard and export in bulk. It marks that Baosteel has reached domestic advanced level in producing gears.
After the Suzhou factory moving to new site in 2002, they began to upgrade their processing equipments for the spiral bevel gear and imported world advanced CNC machine tools, measuring devices etc. Besides, they devoted themself to improving manufacturing technology of bevel gears.
With the improving in technologies and equipments, the Suzhou factory become more and more noticed by foreign leading enterprises. In June 2005, Danieli visited the factory several times for inspection and finally placed the order for high precision spiral bevel gear that would be used on rolling machines for high speed wire in European steel mills.
In the contract, Danieli required that all products should be produced according to the latest AGMA standard and the average precision level of the ordered goods must reach International Standard Class 11.
In last April, the Suzhou factory produced the first group of Class 11 spiral bevel gears. Encouraged by the success, they decided to finish the rest ordered gears by Class 12. At last, the experts from Danieli were satisfied with the products and the Italian company gladly signed an agreement of intention for further cooperations with Baosteel.
