Agency Deal Brings Precision-engineered Bearings PM Bearings has appointed Micromech as its UK agent. PM develops and manufactures high quality linear bearings, crossed roller slides, innovative linear and rotary stages. The company has the broadest range of models and sizes covering almost every need in linear motion where precision is required. These excellent products are available as standard, but importantly PM is recognised as a European market leader for custom-made systems. The company's precision engineering facility is noted for its development and rapid prototyping expertise in producing equipment to customer's specification. There is also a module and testing facility, but because of their lean manufacturing methods the prices are surprisingly competitive. Standard unit pricing is especially attractive. The long history of manufacturing first class products dates back to 1966 and this wealth of experience, commitment to ongoing research has resulted in state-of-the-art technological leadership. 'Our desire to expand our sales and also to make PM Bearings a leading brand in the UK has led to our appointment of Micromech', said Herman Luth, Managing Director. 'The specialist skills required to address the technical disciplines for motion are fully met by our new partner and we believe our aims can be achieved'. For Micromech, Managing Director Dave Gronland agreed, adding: 'This agreement is an important development as it enables us to offer customers solutions for standard and special applications in today's fast moving and cost sensitive economy'.
