Target of Bearing Industry Restructuring General Target of Bearing Industry in 11th Five-Year Plan period: To foster 10 large group corporations with annual sales over 1 billion yuan; 20 medium feature enterprises having annual sales exceed 300 million yuan; 4 or 5 internationally competitive exporters and 6 to 8 production bases mainly making and dealing with bearing rings, steel balls, rollers, cages, seals and other parts. The concentration rate of bearing industry will be higher than 60 percent then. Industrial restructuring and optimizing: First priority should be given to developing high precision, high technical content and high value-added products, like auto bearings, railway bearings, bearing for rolling machine, bearing for petroleum exploring machine, bearing for construction machine etc. Great importance should be attached to high-tech based special bearings such as III and IV Generation wheel hub bearing, bearing for high speed railway passenger/cargo train, low-noise bearing for office and household appliances, bearings of special materials and other ones for areospace industry, PC, robots etc. Restriction must be posed on general-use bearings, the miniature, small and medium-sized ball bearings in particular. So that a rational products-mix can be formed to meet the multi-layers market demand. The target products-mix are as following: Bearings reaching world advanced level account for 20 percent; those reaching ISO standard account for 50 percent; others meeting domestic industrial standard account for 30 percent.
