Schaeffler Build R&D Center in Shanghai Schaeffler Group held open ceremony of their R&D Center in Anting district Shanghai on May 16. With advanced equipments for testing, measuring and simulation devices, the center will devote to businesses like technology transfer, integration and innovation, providing reliable and timely testing services to customers from auto and industry sectors both in China and abroad. As the largest R&D Center of Schaeffler Group in the world, Anting center will bring into full play the personnel advantage of Shanghai. 　　 At the same day, Schaeffler also convened the launching ceremony of their Taicang Plant. In 1998, Schaeffler Group built a plant covering an area of 41,000m2 in Taicang. With an floor area of 110,000m2, the new plant will become one of Schaeffler’s the biggest plants, meeting the enormous requirement for bearings used in auto and industrial sectors in China. 　　 Besides, they established training center in Taicang, aiming to cultivate personnel qualified for international standard. The training center had their first group of learners in Sept. 2004, marking the introduction of German educational system into China. After the three years long training program, learners can gain balanced progress in theory and practice. In July this year, the first group of 44 graduates will finish their training program. 　　 The Schaeffler Group with its brands INA, LuK and FAG develops and manufactures precision products for anything that moves: in machinery, industrial plant, vehicles and aerospace.
