Euro-Bearings Developed Aluminium Assembly

Euro-Bearings has released an aluminium profiled rail and carriage motion guidance assembly to the UK linear bearing market. The system uses a profiled aluminium rail with hardened bearing steel inserts on both the rails and aluminium carriages for the ball contact areas. The system offers lower cost lighter weight equal load bearing in all four main directions of loading and low magnetism, compared to steel systems.The range is available in three sizes, which cover from 5000 to 16000N (dynamic) loads. This enables designers to virtually ignore product weight but still enjoy relatively high load capacities, moment and stiffness characteristics. Wiper seals and lubricating accessories are available to bolt-on to both types of carriages including 2 types of grease or oil nipples. Typical applications include: small one, two and three-axis machines, office equipment, machine enclosures, machining jigs, sliding heavy doors and drawers, tooling cabinets, and DIY and woodworking equipment.
