NRB Bearings Seeing 15-20% Topline Growth
Harshabeena S Zaveri, President of NRB Bearings informs that the two-wheeler sales and the CV (Commercial Vehicles) market saw a slowdown.
Excerpts from the exclusive interview with Harshabeena S Zaveri:
Q: Are you seeing much of an impact because a lot of front line auto companies are talking about a slowing down or a cut in production and in some cases relooking what their plant output might be?
A: There has been an impact. Fundamentally the two-wheeler sales have slowed down and Bajaj has had almost negative growth. There has also been a slowdown in the CV market recently including the ACE.
Q: What sort of impact it will have on your earnings in terms of the frontline auto companies slowing down?
A: Our own company has a very diversified portfolio in terms of customer base. We also have 10% of export and when it comes to the entire auto market, we supply to the tractors, two wheeler and auto ancillary segment as well. Many of these customers are export driven.
So while we do see it having some impact, we don抰 think it will have as much impact as other players.
Q: In this particular quarter, what kind of volumes did you sell to your customers and if you compared YoY basis, did you witness dip and do you expect that dip to continue during the next quarters?
A: As far as topline growth is concerned, we do feel that we would stay in this same band that we spoke about earlier, which is 15-20% growth.
Q: Could you give us specific numbers?
A: I can give specific numbers because we are still waiting for our results. But we don't see anything significantly different from we have stated earlier. We do feel that there will be some impact on specific customers because growth from those customers has slowed down but we do have other customers who are doing better. So overall, we will still stay in our band.
