Six Achievements from LYC Win Science and Technology Awards 2007 Science and Technology awards of Luoyang City were announced recently. Luoyang Government will offer special fund as prizes to invigorate the development of LYC The six scientific achievements of LYC are: development of double-row four-point contact ball yaw bearings for MW scale wind turbine generator; development of rear axle bearing unit for IVECO heavy duty autos; development of high-precision thin-wall split slewing bearing; development of slewing bearings for Electro-hydraulic cranes; development of super finishing machine for the raceway of oblique cutting full automatic taper roller bearing; development of double direction thrust taper roller bearing series. Science and technology are primary productive forces. These achievements of LYC Company are all high-precision, high-tech and high value added products. The technical performances of these products have reached a leading level in China bearing industry, some even as substitute for import bearings. These products will bring many social and economic benefits with potential market. In all, these achievements invigorate new technology to LYC and will become new economic growth point of LYC Company.
