Mar 21---Mar 28 Roundup of Steel Markets in China

(Mar 21---Mar 28) Bearing steel price basically remained a stable level except part upswing this week. The 50mm hot rolling GCr15 hit 6457 Yuan/ton and 100mm annealing GCr15 reached 7943 Yuan/ton, which was 20 Yuan/ton higher than that of last week. The market conditions were better than last week,so the distributors were relatively calm now. Except that the price of high chrome sharply increased, the price of pig iron, iron ore and disposed steel remained relatively stable. Bearing steel price will be up 100-200 Yuan/ton next week resulting from continuous bearing steel price adjustment and increasing demand from downstream distributors. The Mysteel-SSPI (Special Steel Price Index) compositive index stays in 141.8, same as last week.
