Aviation Bearings Plant Took Part in Aircraft Industry Conference

As the industry’s leading enterprise, Aviation Bearings Plant JSC participated in the Exhibition and International Conference “Modern Technologies are Crucial for Revival of Domestic Aircraft Industry” which took place in Kazan. The event gathered leading specialists of the aviation industry, higher educational institutions and research organizations who discussed future development of the industry. At the Conference, ZAP JSC was represented by Vladimir Makarchuk, Executive Director of EPK Holding Company JSC, Head of Aviation Bearings Plant, and Yevgeny Zhilnikov, Deputy Director of Special Engineering Bureau of the Plant. Vladimir Makarchuk made a report to the participants of the Conference on ZAP’s experience in using modern techniques to engineer aircraft bearings. He spoke about the Plant’s mastering new materials for the production of component parts – M50 steel and ceramics. The Head of ZAP noted that the specificity of assembly units, in which the bearings were designed to be used, should be taken into account when developing new bearings. At the Conference, ZAP’s delegation established new business contacts and strengthened cooperation with its current partners. Representatives of Kazan Engine Plant – ZAP’s consumer of long standing – expressed their wish to visit Aviation Bearings Plant at the beginning of autumn. They would like to have a look at Samara’s technologies and techniques used for engineering bearings: “We are interested in developing cooperation with Kazan Engine Plant,” said Yevgeny Zhilnikov.
