Jtekt to Establish Techinical Center In Xiamen

Jtekt, the world’s largest manufacturer of steering systems, has commenced the construction of its first China Techinical Center in Xiamen to produce electrically powered steering systems. The new facility in Xiamen is the first of its kind in China and the twenty-third affiliate of Jtekt. With a total investment of USD 39 million, the facility will be built in three phases, covering an area of 2000 sqaure meters. For the first phase, product performance evaluation equipment will be introduced. For the second phase, Jtekt will transfer its product performance evaluation business to China. For the last phase, product development and manufacturing will be added.
