SDS to Open New Manufacturing Base in Changchun

According to the report, Shanghai GKN Drive Shaft Co., Ltd（SDS）signed an agreement with the Business Invitation Delegation of Changchun City in Shanghai on Feb 4, 2009 to open a new drive shaft manufacturing facility in Changchun in the future five years, with a total investment of RMB 500 million. The new facility will mainly focus on producing fittings for saloon cars, microbuses, etc. Shanghai GKN Drive Shaft Co., Ltd（SDS）, opening in Sep 1988, is one of the companies first established in China as the JV for automotive components．The main shareholders of SDS are GKN Driveline International GmbH（Germany）and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group).
