Carlisle-based Cumbria Bearings & Transmissions Ltd has moved into its new premises, signalling another milestone in the company’s history. The move to St Nicholas Business Park follows last year’s successful acquisition by, Europe’s leading supplier of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services. Operating as the newest branch in the Brammer network, the team from Cumbria Bearings & Transmissions opened its doors on 15th June and looks to continue supplying local manufacturers with machinery, parts and services.
As part of Brammer, Cumbria Bearings and Transmissions is now supported by an international supply network meaning parts and machinery can be sourced even more quickly and cost effectively than before. This brings an enhanced local service to its fast-growing customer base in and around the Carlisle area.
Arthur Malkin, manager of Cumbria Bearings & Transmissions, is delighted with the new premises. “The move is going to have a positive impact on all of our customers. Our new premises in St Nicholas Business Park will help us go the extra mile for all our customers. It’s all brand new and we’ve incorporated Brammer’s operating systems to help us become even more efficient than before. With the new facilities and the massive support and infrastructure that a company of Brammer’s size can offer, we’ll be able to offer our customers with a more comprehensive range of parts and services.”
Founded in 1989, Cumbria Bearings & Transmissions Ltd is a specialist MRO distributor whose product portfolio offers excellent synergy with the Brammer range. The acquisition in late 2008 is already benefiting existing customers by giving them access to Brammer’s extensive product range and authorised distributor status for the leading global engineering component manufacturers.
