Timken CEO visited China Bearing Industry Association in Beijing
Mr.James W. Griffith, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Timken Company, accompanied by Mr. Roger W. Lindsay, Senior Vice President-Asia Pacific of The Timken Company, visited China Bearing Industry Association（CBIA）in Beijing on November 3, 2009. Liu Enshi, President of CBIA and Wang Quanqing, Secretary-general of CBIA met the guests.
The two sides exchanged their view on bearing industrial situation, especially on measures against global financial crisis. Mr.James W. Griffith said:” We are really appreciated the support and cooperation by CBIA. Fortunately, the Timken Company has a lot of investment in dynamic China. One investment project located in Wuxi has already completed, the other project of large-diameter bearings on wind power in Xiangtan will be put into operation in March of next year, we welcome Mr.Liu to join the operation ceremony at that time.
Liu Enshi said that the bearing industry in China has also affected by global financial crisis this year, especially the export business. It is estimate that the output of whole industry will remain the same with last year or reach a slight increase. We are glad to see the development of Timken Company in China, and to invite the company to join the 12th China International Bearing Industry Exhibition in 2010 and Mr. Griffith to participate in the international summit forum in Shanghai at that time.
The two sides agreed to strengthen communication continuously and work jointly toward the development of China's bearing industry.
