Bearing Steel Price in China is Steady Rise in Jan. 2010

Summary: Review the bearing steel market in Dec. 2009, the steel price rose obviously with in the range from 200yuan/ton to 250yuan/ton. Up to the end of Dec., the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm is 4,761 yuan/ton; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm is 6, 650 yuan/ton. The market deal in Dec. displayed increasing trend; the deal increased obviously compared with that in last month. As the increase of steel cost, the steel plants put forward rising policy in succession. Therefore, the market price went upward. In addition, the overhaul of some steel plants influence part of the steel output; this created another condition for the rising of bearing steel price. Based on the factors that the capital resource is broad and the inflation is strongly predicted, etc., the bearing steel price in Jan. 2010 is expected to go upward. 1. Bearing Steel Output in China The output of crude bearing steel from Jan. to Nov. in 2009 of China was about 2.219 million tons, which decreased 0.2% based on that in the same period last year; the output of crude bearing steel in Nov. 2009 was about 0.259 million tons; the chain relative ratio was 5.3%. The output of bearing steel material of China from Jan. to Nov. 2009 was 2.162 million tons, increased 6.8% compared with that in last year. The output of bearing steel material in Nov.2009 was 0.251 million tons and the chain relative ratio is 9.7%.
