This week (from Jan. 8th to 15th, 2010), the bearing steel price rose within a small range from 50yuan/ton to 100yuan/ton. Up to this weekend, the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 5,014 yuan/ton; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 6, 796 yuan/ton. In east China area, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 medium continuous casting non-annealed steel was between 4,800 and 5,000 yuan/ton; the mainstream price of continuous casting annealed steel was between 5,500 and 5,600 yuan/ton. The market resource was not much and many merchants had low stock; the market deal was common and the demand and offer was in balance as a whole. As the price rose until now, the merchants realize the risk. Therefore, they were relatively cautious and reduced the stock intentionally. The purchasing quantity of the downstream users was not large because they have sufficient stock beforehand. On the aspect of steel plants, the order status was good and only a few of steel plants brought forward price adjusting policy. On Jan. 11th, Nanjing Steel has adjusted the price and the bearing steel price increased 100yuan/ton. It is expected that the bearing steel price will be steady next week.
Charging Market This Week: the domestic refined iron ore market kept rising; the resource supply is relatively short. The week part of the imported ore market has weak rising trend as a whole and the market deal is not good, but there is no obvious decrease in price. The pig iron market kept rising and the merchants almost have no stock and the orders were full before the spring festival. This week the steel scrap market had a rise in the steady status, market in some place had consolidation trend in small range. The operation of coke market was good; the delivery was smooth; the alloy market was still fine as a whole; the price of the common alloy was readjusted in at high price; the quotation of chromium alloy became steady; the providers cherish the stock.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China market rose in a small range; the deal was common. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 4,950yuan/ton; Xining Special Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 4,900yuan/ton, out of stock; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 6,700yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 5,100 yuan/ton; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 4,850 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was 4,900 yuan/ton. Up to this weekend, the bearing steel price in Wuxi market rose in a small range and the deal was common; the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 5,100 yuan/ton; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 5,500yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,600yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was from 4,850yuan/ton to 4,900yuan/ton and the Φ50-80 annealed steel was 5,450yuan/ton, a few stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 4,850yuan/ton; Bongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,000yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang rose in a small range; the deal was not bad. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Luoyang market was as follows: Shougang Group GCr15Φ12-25 annealed steel was 5,550 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 non-annealed steel was 4,850yuan/ton; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 6,700yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,650yuan/ton, out of stock; Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,600yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 4,850yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-50 die casting annealed steel was 6,700yuan/ton; This week the bearing steel price in Wuhan market was steady and the deal was not bad, lacking of steel resource. [North China Region]This week the bearing steel price in Shenyang market was basically stable and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,000yuan/ton, GCr15Φ35-50 die casting annealed steel was 6,650yuan/ton, GCr15Φ100 die casting non-annealed steel was 5,850yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,750yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market was stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,600yuan/ton, out of stock; Dalian Steel GCr15Φ50 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,600yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,050yuan/ton and GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 6,800yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region]This week the bearing steel price in Chengdu market was stable and the steel resource was not sufficient and mainly was Changcheng steel and Xining steel. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 6,600yuan/ton, die casting non-annealed steel was 5,750yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ80-120 die casting annealed steel was 6,800, out of stock; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 6,700yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton, the steel resource was not sufficient. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price was stable.
