This week (from Jan. 15th to 22nd, 2010), the bearing steel price rose in the steady status and the rising range is about 50yuan/ton. Up to this weekend, the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 5,082 yuan/ton; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 6,825yuan/ton. In east China area, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 medium continuous casting non-annealed steel was between 4,950 and 5,100 yuan/ton; the mainstream price of continuous casting annealed steel was between 5,500 and 5,650 yuan/ton. The market deal slides down a little; compared with that in the former days, the market deal was not so active. Even though, the market resource was not much, the down stream users had sufficient stock; therefore, the purchasing recently was not active. In addition, the price of construction materials and prime steel had a sliding trend and resulted in the low market mentality, which is also one of the reasons why the terminal users kept looking on. Besides, the raw materials like steel scrap and pig iron, etc. also had sliding trend. Generally speaking, the bearing steel price will keep steady in short term.
Charging Market This Week: the domestic refined iron ore market ran steadily; the market inquiry in north region turned out better. This week the imported ore market kept the weak state. The mines’ quotation for the foreign inquiries has generally dropped 3 to 4 US dollars. The quotation from the domestic ports dropped from 20yuan to 30yuan. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 6,600yuan/ton, die casting non-annealed steel was 5,750yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ80-120 die casting annealed steel was 6,800, out of stock; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 6,700yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton, the steel resource was not sufficient. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price was stable.
