“SEW Bearing Reformation” Xuzhou Cigarette Plant Successfully Finished

Recently, the project of “SEW Bearing Reformation” in the Primary Processing Workshop of Tobacco Jiangsu Industrial Co., Ltd Xuzhou Cigarette Plant was successfully finished. After the SEW bearing reformation of the primary processing workshop, the downtime rate because of the motor swing caused by bearing swing was reduced to zero. The primary processing workshops of Xuzhou Cigarette Plant mostly applied SEW motors which are connected directly to the conveying equipments. However, during the practical application, the clearance existed between the driving shaft and the motor shaft because of the special installation of the transmission motor, which caused the swing of drive shaft and the swing of motor, noise and wear of drive roll, etc. Sometimes, it caused the disjunction of drive roll and the long downtime, which greatly influenced the production. Since January, the maintenance personnel of the workshop has communicated with the technicians of the motor plant, kept a lot of tracking data, and inspected the position that the motor swung. The workshop installed bearing in the motor according to the dimension of spindle hole to fix the radial swing of the shaft, changing the single support into the double support, which greatly improved the load of the shaft and avoid the shaft to swing randomly so that the motor will not swing, either. The reformation of SEW bearing this time has achieved the anticipated aim and the practical effect was favorable, which reduced the downtime, guaranteed the production and earned good comment from the related experts.
