This week (from Mar. 12th to 19th, 2010), the bearing steel price kept rising. Up to this weekend, the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 5,429 Yuan/ton, rising 100 Yuan/ton to 150 Yuan/ton compared with that in last weekend; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 7,064yuan/ton. In east China area, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 medium continuous casting non-annealed steel was between 5,400 Yuan/ton; the mainstream price of continuous casting annealed steel was between 5,700 and 5,900 Yuan/ton. This week the price of most types of steel rose obviously in the prophase steel market and the market was once feverish. However, on Friday, the price all stop rising and even the price of some types of steel decreased in a small range. Even though the price differential between bearing steel and carbon steel was from 800 Yuan/ton to 1,000 Yuan/ton, it didn’t influence the market deal, which was mainly because the market resource was devoid and some types of steel were out of stock; besides, the price from the steel plants were impelled, some downstream users purchased actively. Judging from short term, the bearing steel market will still keep the favorable trend.
Charging Market This Week: the domestic refined iron ore market rose; the steel price in most regions of North area rose to some extent; the southern market kept steady while the mines were confident in the increasing in the following market. This week the imported ore market kept rising while the market deal decreased compared with that in last week; the pig iron market kept rising; the problem that the market resource of pig iron was devoid was still extruded and there were much enquiry. This week the steel scrap market rose in the steady trend; the operation of coke market was basically steady, the deal was better than that in the early period and the price didn’t change basically; and there was little possibility to rise. The alloy market went weak to some extent; the price of chromium alloy swayed at high levels.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China market rose moderately; the deal was good. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was from 5,400 Yuan/ton; Xining Special Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,300yuan/ton, out of stock; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,000yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 5,700 Yuan/ton with a few stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,250 to 5300 Yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,900 Yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was 5,300 Yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Wuxi market rose to some extent and the deal was all right; Up to this weekend, the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 5,700 Yuan/ton; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 5,700yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,900yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was from 5,350yuan/ton and the Φ50-80 annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton, a few stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,200yuan/ton; Bongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,450yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang market rose; the deal was barely passable. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Luoyang market was as follows: Shougang Group GCr15Φ12-25 annealed steel was 5,800 Yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 non-annealed steel was 5,250 Yuan/ton; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 6,950 Yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,900yuan/ton, out of stock; Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,850yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 5,250 to 5300 Yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-50 die casting annealed steel was 6,950 Yuan/ton; This week part of the bearing steel price in Wuhan market rose and the deal was common, lacking of steel resource. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 non-annealed steel was 5,200 Yuan/ton, out of stock; Shougang Group GCr15Φ30-50 heat treatment rolled steel was from 5,200 to 5,350 Yuan/ton, a few stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,350 Yuan/ton and die casting annealed steel was 7,000 Yuan/ton; GCr15Φ42-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,250 Yuan/ton, continuous casting annealed steel was 5,950 Yuan/ton.
[North China Region]This week the bearing steel price in Shenyang market rose and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,300 Yuan/ton, GCr15Φ35-50 die casting annealed steel was 6,950 Yuan/ton, GCr15Φ100 die casting non-annealed steel was 6,200yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,950yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market rose and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,750 Yuan/ton, out of stock; Dalian Steel GCr15Φ50 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,300 Yuan/ton and GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,100 Yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region]This week the price of bearing steel in Chengdu market rose and the steel resource was not sufficient and mainly was Changcheng steel and Xining steel. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 6,750 Yuan/ton, die casting non-annealed steel was 5,900 Yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ80-120 die casting annealed steel was 7,000 Yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 6,850 Yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,950 Yuan/ton, the steel resource was not sufficient. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price of bearing steel rose. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat treatment annealed steel was out of stock; Xining SteelΦ80-120 rolled annealing steel was 6,000 Yuan/ton, out of stock; part of Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,150 Yuan/ton, part of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,950 Yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealing steel was 6,900 Yuan/ton, the steel resource was not sufficient.
