This week (from Mar. 19th to 26th, 2010), the bearing steel price kept rising. Up to this weekend, the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 5, 592 Yuan/ton; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 7,192 Yuan/ton, the rising range was close to 200 Yuan/ton compared with that at last weekend. In east China area, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 medium continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second-tier steel pants was between 5,500 and 5,600 Yuan/ton; the mainstream price of continuous casting annealed steel was 6,000 Yuan/ton. This week the price of the raw material for steel-making kept rising. The enterprise of the special steel has increased the EXW price of bearing steel and the market price followed and rose. However, the market deal reduced compared with that at last weekend because the downstream users have kept the stock for one or two months. On the aspects of steel plants, most of the plants have full orders. Shougang Steel and Shijiazhuang Steel, etc. planned to overhaul in April and then it will influence the output of bearing steel. Generally speaking, the circulation resource of bearings steel in the market is not much at present and the steel plants may increase the price in the following period. It is predicted that the bearing steel price will still rise in a small space.
Charging Market This Week: the domestic refined iron ore market generally presented a rising trend; the rising of steel price in the North area market slowed down; the steel price rose faster in the southern market and was confident in the increasing in the following market. This week the imported ore market rose in small range as the steel plants increased the price; at present, the price of steel stock at the ports increased from 1,130 Yuan/ton to 1,160 Yuan/ton and the foreign price rose from $ 148/ton to $ 157/ton while the practical deal was not good. This week the pig iron market rose again and rose in a large range in most regions; the resource in some regions was short while the general deal was not bad. [Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang market rose; the deal was barely passable. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,450 Yuan/ton, GCr15Φ35-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,050 Yuan/ton, GCr15Φ100 die casting non-annealed steel was 6,200yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,100yuan/ton.
