This week (from Apr. 16th to 23rd, 2010), the bearing steel price was basically stable. Up to this weekend, the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 5,954 yuan/ton; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 7,446 yuan/ton, which kept balance with that at last weekend. In east China area, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 medium continuous casting non-annealed steel if 100mm of the second tier plants was between 5,960 and 6,000 yuan/ton; the mainstream price of continuous casting annealed steel was around 6,600 yuan/ton. Generally, the market resource was still insufficient and the specifications were not complete; the downstream users purchased according to the demand at present and the market mentality fluctuated to some extent, because recently the price of the plain steel and prime steel fell within certain range; at present, the wait-and-see mood emerged in the market. Because the bearing steel resource was not insufficient and the steel price from the plant supported, in the short term, the price in the bearing steel market will be possibly keep steady.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China market kept steady; the deal was good. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 5,950 yuan/ton; Xining Special Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,900yuan/ton, out of stock; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,200yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 6,300 yuan/ton with a few stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,650 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was 5,900 yuan/ton, out of stock. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,100 yuan/ton, die casting non-annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ80-120 die casting annealed steel was 7,450 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,350 yuan/ton with a few of stock. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price of some bearing steel was basically stable.
