Ningbo Custom Seized 50,000 Sets of Counterfeit “SKF” Bearings

It is learned that Ningbo Custom has seized more than 50,000 sets of counterfeit “SKF" bearings recently. In April this year, a piece of custom declaration form of bicycle rim arrived at the hands of Yao Bo, the form indicated that the bicycle rims would be exported to Morocco. The diameter of the rim is 80cm; the weight is 860 kg and the quantity is 1000 with the value of 250,000 yuan. The average price of the same rim in the market is between 20 yuan to 30 yuan. Why these rims are so expensive? Yao Bo carried out the inspection and found that in the front of the container there are five rows of rims hanging. He found that the diameter of the rim is 80cm made of aluminum alloy and the reported specification was the same as the practical goods. When he counted the quantity, he found that it was totally 500 rims, which was a half less than the reported quantity. When the container was opened, he found that under the five rows of bicycle rims, there were bearings with “SKF” trade mark hided. 52,300 sets of “SKF” bearings were totally packaged into 462 boxes. But these bearings were not reported. After the confirmation, these bearings were all proved to be the property right violating products.
