World Famous Bearing Brands Gathered in China to Grasp the Large Market

The automobile industry in China develops fast. In 2009, the sales of automobiles in China has ranked the first in the world. With the background, the assembly in bearing industry in China has hit the historical high record. “One car needs about 50 sets of bearings. It is a very large market.” said Liu Enshi, the council chairman of CBIA (China Bearing Industry Association). At present, not only the local large bearing enterprise moved to manufacture the automobile bearings, but also the 8 world famous brand of bearings aboard have established plants in China. The completion in bearing market is very fierce.
The scope of automobile bearings can reach 10 billion yuan and above.
Chen Guozhen, the Chairman of the Board and General Manager of LYC Bearing Company said, “ as China becomes large country which manufacture automobiles in the world, the automobile bearings market becomes larger. Taking the year of 2009 for example, the output of automobiles in China has reached 13.64 million sets, in which 10.33 million sets were passenger cars and 3.31 sets were commercial vehicles. The market of automobile bearings (including the imported ones) is about 10 billion yuan, in which the market of passenger cars is about 6 billion yuan and that of commercial vehicles is about 4 billion yuan.
“In, 2009, the development of automobile industry developed fast and the demand of automobile bearings was about 680 million sets. In the favorable situation of automobile industry, it is predicted that the assembly of bearings in 2010 will reach 1.4 billion sets. Until 2015, it can reach 3 billion to 3.3 billion sets, which will double in the basis of 2010.” Liu Enshi predicted optimistically.
International large bearing enterprises entered into China in succession.
It is learned that since 2002, the world famous bearing manufacturers have produced high precision automobile bearings (mainly used for engine, gear box, wheel hub) through independent invested companies, combination and reconstruction with high and precision technology.
Liu Enshi said, “at present, 8 largest foreign bearing enterprises of famous brands have established about 20 companies in China. These 8 enterprises include Sweden SKF, German Schaeffler, American Timken, Japan NSK, NTN, Jtekt, Nachi and NMB. The market share of the bearings under foreign brands increases year by year in the Chinese passenger car bearing market.”
