This week (from May 7th to May 14th, 2010), the bearing steel price was basically stable. Up to this weekend, the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 5,996 yuan/ton; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 7,482 yuan/ton, which kept balance with that at last weekend. In east China area, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 medium continuous casting non-annealed steel of 100mm of the second tier plants was 5,950 yuan/ton; the mainstream price of continuous casting annealed steel was between 6,600 and 6,650 yuan/ton. This week the market deal shrink to some extent and the atmosphere of wait-and-see of the downstream users was very strong. The inventory in the society was at the low level and the new market resource was still insufficient. On the aspect of steel plants, even though at present the common steel and fine steel market both have a falling trend, the orders of the steel plants are fine and the plants have adjusted and decrease the EXW in succession. But the bearing steel manufacturers are not willing to decrease the bearing steel price. At present, the price difference between bearing steel and 45# carbon structure round steel reached 1,200 to 1,300 yuan/ton, which is far from the normal price difference. As most downstream users kept the attitude of wait-and-see, the bearing steel market in the following days will have great pressure. In the short term, the price in the bearing steel market will possibly in range-bound.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China market kept steady; the resource was not sufficient and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 6,150 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Special Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 6,000yuan/ton, out of stock; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,200yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, out of stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,900 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,700 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton, out of stock. This week the bearing steel price in Wuxi market kept steady; the market resource was insufficient and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 6,600yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,700yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was from 6,100yuan/ton with a few of stock and the Φ50-80 annealed steel was 6,550yuan/ton, out of stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,900yuan/ton; Bongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,200yuan/ton.

This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market was basically stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,400yuan/ton, out of stock; Dalian Steel GCr15Φ50 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,500yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton and GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,350yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region]This week the price of bearing steel in Chengdu market was basically stable and the steel resource was not sufficient and mainly was Changcheng steel and Xining steel. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,100 yuan/ton, die casting non-annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ80-120 die casting annealed steel was 7,450 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,350 yuan/ton with a few of stock. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price was basically stable.
