This week (from May 28th to June 4th, 2010), the bearing steel price ran weakly and in some regions the price fell a little. Up to this weekend, the countrywide average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 5,907 yuan/ton; the countrywide average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 7,482 yuan/ton. In east China area, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 medium continuous casting non-annealed steel of 100mm of the second tier plants was from 5,750 to 5,800 yuan/ton; the mainstream price of continuous casting annealed steel was from 6,300 to 6,400 yuan/ton. This week the market deal was not idealand the turnover fell obviously compared with that in the last week. However, the market resource was not sufficient and the stock of the merchants was below the normal level. All the downstream users purchased according to the demand; the atmosphere of wait-and-see was very strong. The release of the policy of Baosteel for July caused the more pessimistic atmosphere in the market because the company greatly reduced the price of some types of steel. In short terms, the bearing steel market will keep the weak holding.
Charging Market This Week: the domestic refined iron ore market kept the weak trend. this week the quotation in the imported ore market generally kept steady; and the quotation of the foreign market has fallen a little and the market deal increases to some extent; the quotation in the stock market kept steady while the deal was not worse. This week the pig iron market had nothing changed, the price was still on falling trend and the quotation was in confusion and the deal in most regions was weak. The steel scrap market continued the weak holding in the general downturn of the whole steel market. The coke market was easy off and it is difficult to improve the situation of the turnover. The alloy market was going weak; the price of the ordinary alloy went weak; the price of chromium alloy fell a little.
[East China Region] This week the price of some bearing steel in East China market fell a little; the deal was common. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 5,850 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Special Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton, out of stock; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,200yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 6,300 yuan/ton, out of stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,680 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton, out of stock. This week the some of the bearing steel price in Wuxi market fell; the market resource was insufficient and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 6,300 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was from 6,500 to 6,550 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was from5,800yuan/ton with a few of stock and the Φ50-80 annealed steel was 6,400yuan/ton, out of stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,750yuan/ton; Bongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,900 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang almost had no change; the deal was weak. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Luoyang market was as follows: Shougang Group GCr15Φ12-25 annealed steel was 6,300 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 non-annealed steel was 5,600yuan/ton; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,250yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,400yuan/ton, out of stock; Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,400yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 5,850yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,200yuan/ton. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton, GCr15Φ35-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,300yuan/ton, GCr15Φ100 die casting non-annealed steel was 6,550yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,450yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market was basically stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,400yuan/ton, out of stock; Dalian Steel GCr15Φ50 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,500yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,800yuan/ton and GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,350yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region]This week the price of bearing steel in Chengdu market was basically stable and the steel resource was not sufficient and mainly was Changcheng steel and Xining steel. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,100 yuan/ton, die casting non-annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ80-120 die casting annealed steel was 7,450 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,350 yuan/ton with a few of stock. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price was basically stable.
