Cold Rolling & Expanding Project Saves thousands of tons of Bearing Steel

Recently, the “Bearing Ring Cold Rolling and Expanding Material-saving Project” of Zhejiang Continents Xinchun Group which would be invested in 7.6 million yuan has accomplished the investment of 3.89 million yuan accumulatively. The project adopted the bearing ring precision cold rolling and expanding new technology and added 18 sets of bearing ring precision rolling machine., which will achieve the industrialization of new processing of material-saving bearing ring cold rolling.
The precision cold rolling and expanding technology is mainly used for the processing of bearing ring. It can save 15-30% raw materials, compared with the traditional lathing processing; the material utilization ratio is improved from the present 44% to 55% and even 75%. After adopting the cold rolling and expanding technology, it will completely improve the inner quality of bearing steel and therefore enable the ratio of bearing rated service life and calculated service life to reach 7 to 22 times, and the reliability reaches 99.93%; it can save 10 to 20% lathing and grinding processing, which is the effective guarantee measure for manufacturing high quality and low noise bearings.
It is learned that the “Bearing Ring Cold Rolling and Expanding Material-saving Project” implemented by Zhejiang Continents Xinchun Group has 9 production lines, and the rolling and expanding size is from 36mm to 220mm; the automation level is high, which meet the industrial policy of intensive development at present in China. After the project is finished this year, it can produce 6 million sets of medium and large size bearing rings each year, increase 20 million yuan sales income and 4.5 million yuan taxation and profit. It can save 20% materials compared with the hot forging and can save thousands of tons of bearing steel.
