Probe over Peel Harbour's Footbridge Bearings-Bearing News

The Manx government has said it will investigate why bearings on Peel Harbour's footbridge have failed just four years after it was built. Work to replace the bearings is under way after an inspection found they were wearing out. Graham Cregeen MHK said it was "very disappointing" as they were designed to last for the bridge's lifetime. The government is sending the bearings away to be inspected and is talking to the the manufacturers, he said.
