Any Combination of Cage and Bearing Washer Design Possible

The FAG axial ball bearing is available in four different types that can be combined freely. Both bearing washers are available with or without raceways and cages can be supplied either made of plastic or sheet steel. All materials are matched to the environmental conditions. They are particularly compatible with coolants and resistant to varying temperatures. The filigree design of the sheet steel cage with high rigidity is a special highlight. The cage is even more suitable than the conventional plastic cage for the high temperatures that can occur at this bearing position. In addition, coolant compatibility tests are no longer necessary. The raceways in the axial washers provide even more secure guidance for the balls and improve the load distribution and ball rotation. Overall, these characteristics lead to lower wear and longer operating life. Versions with raceways on both sides are also available and increase mounting security. In the basic design, the axial bearing washers are punched, through hardened and polished and both sides can be used as raceways. The size of the bearing can be individually adapted to the mounting location.
