Baogang Group Rod Plant Succeeded in Bearing Steel Trial Rolling

Recently, Baotou Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd.(Baogang Group) Rod Plant organized the rolling of GCr15 bearing steel with the diameter of 6.5mm, making use of new production line, and achieved success. The performance of the steel was proved meeting the GB/T18254—2002 standard of the carbon ferrochromium bearing steel after the inspection by the relevant departments. The Rod Plant was dedicated in the development of new products and increasing the output of high value added products. During the period of trial rolling, the plant has executed the regulation on billet inspection and reception as well as the heating regulation and strictly controlled the heating temperature and time of the billet in the furnace, which guaranteed the uniformity of the tapping temperature of the billet. The success of the trial rolling this time will further enrich the product catalog of the rod plant and establish solid foundation for building up famous brand, knock-out products and special products.
