The Production Line of Extra-large Wind Power Bearing has been put into operation

The project of extra-large wind power bearing production line was fully completed and put into operation on December 3, which has invested 0.25 billion yuan by SHANGHAI ELECTRIC. And the 3.6 MW offshore wind power bearing was off the assembly line as the first product in this project on that day, which marked that SHANGHAI ELECTRIC has owned the independent innovative designing, researching & developing, manufacturing capabilities of the international first-class high efficient wind power bearings. The total investment of this new project is 0.5 billion yuan, and investment for the first phase is 0.25 billion yuan. It is estimated that the annual production capacity could reach 1800 sets of MW extra-large wind power bearing in 2012, meanwhile the annual sales revenue would achieve about 0. 5 billion yuan then. As for the high price of this type of bearing, the long delivery cycle in the international market, and the urgent demanding for the domestic market, this project has fully considered the compatible processing capacity of the wind power bearings and the non-wind power bearings during planning for this project. Thus, it could effectively avoid the influence of the enterprises' running by the fluctuations in the wind power industry, and also reduce the investment risk.
