This large market is nevertheless is hampered by uneven regulation and regulations enforcement across different regions and applications. This has created a chaotic competitive environment that suppliers find difficult to predict. Challenges faced include simultaneous pressure to improve product technology and cut costs, price competition and tolerance of fake products among both customers and regulators. Despite the intense competition, opportunities in this market lie in both the predominant deep groove bearings segment and in the smaller product segments such as angular contact thrust bearings, where fewer small domestic suppliers are involved due to technology constraints. Currently the biggest end user markets are the machinery & machine tools and automotive industries.
