Weekly Review of Bearing Steel Market in China (February 11th to February 18th, 2011)

The bearing steel price in this week was remain slightly rose. Up to this weekend, the national average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 6,396 yuan/ton; the national average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 7,932 yuan/ton. In East China, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of the second tier plants was between 6,400 yuan/ton and 6,500 yuan/ton; the mainstream strike price of continuous casting annealed steel was between 6,900 yuan/ton and 7,000 yuan/ton, increased about 100 yuan/ton compared with the price before the spring festival. This week the market deal was common especially in the last period. The bearing steel market was effected as for the slight adjustment of the high-quality steel. In the meanwhile, some downstream users did not make purchasing because they had enough inventory before spring festival. This week the inventory was sufficient, so the price for some merchants' inventory was high, however the price may slightly adjusted after being influenced by the financial pressure.
On the aspect of furnace material, the overall resoure of the domestic iron powder market was slightly increased. The deal of imported ore market in this week was common and the market trend kept stable with the last week. The domestic pig iron market in this week still heavily ran, and the price in some regions still rose. And the steel-making & pig iron market was much better than cast iron & ductile iron. The scrap market in this week was slightly increasd, especially for the east market. The coke market in this week was remain stable, the price in some coking enterprises has significantly rose. The offer and demand for chromium alloy in this week obviously increased; the quotation of the imported chrome ore lump continued to rose in this week.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China market slightly increased and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 6,450 yuan/ton; Xining Special Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 6,350yuan/ton; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,500yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was between 6,600 yuan/ton and 6,700 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was between 6,450 yuan/ton and 6,500 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was between 6,550 yuan/ton and 6,400 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was out of stock. This week the bearing steel price in Wuxi market significantly increased and the deal was well; Up to this weekend, the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 6,850yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,950yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,350 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,500yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,550 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang market significantly increased; the deal was quite well. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Luoyang market was as follows: Shougang Group GCr15Φ12-25 annealed steel was 6,650 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton, out of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,700yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,800yuan/ton, out of stock; Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,750yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 6,400yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,900yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Wuhan market was basically steady and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 non-annealed steel was 6,250yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ30-50 heat treatment rolled steel was 6,300yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,200yuan/ton and die casting annealed steel was 7,800yuan/ton; GCr15Φ42-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,200yuan/ton, continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Shenyang market was basically increased and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton, GCr15Φ35-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,600yuan/ton, GCr15Φ100 die casting non-annealed steel was 7,100yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 6,100 yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market was basically rose and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,800yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton and GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,800yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week the price of bearing steel in Chengdu market was basically stable and the steel resource was not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 7,000 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ120-170 die casting annealed steel was 7,900 yuan/ton; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 7,700 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,800 yuan/ton with a few of stock. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price was basically stable. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat treatment annealed steel was out of stock; Xining SteelΦ80-120 rolled annealing steel was 6,700yuan/ton, out of stock; part of Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,200 yuan/ton, part of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealing steel was 7,600 yuan/ton with a few of stock.
