High-end Equipment Manufacturing is Listed As Strategic Emerging Industries in “Twelfth Five-Year Plan ” of China

Equipment manufacturing lays a foundation for manufacturing. A review of the “Eleventh Five-year ” shows that equipment manufacturing of China has ranked among the leading equipment manufacturing of the world power with the distinguished achievement. Regarding statistics in 2009, the total volume of equipment manufacturing of China reached $220million while U.S.A. and Japan was respectively $120million and $123million. Meanwhile the key areas of China equipment manufacturing made rapid progress with fast development of engineering machinery,explosive growth of car sales, considerable leap in shipping industry, and noticeable improvement of product structure in machine tool industry. As introduced by Mr Luo Baihui, the industry Invitation researcher of china international economic development research center, the major tasks of Chinese equipment manufacturing during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan include promoting industry optimization, expending high-end equipment manufacturing, building the strong foundation of the industrial development, driving the automation of important equipment and the enhancing of innovation capacity. The preparing “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” of equipment manufacturing will focus on accelerating shifting of developing mode and pushing the economic structure adjustment. The high-end equipment manufacturing cover the wide fields like aviation equipment, satellite and its application industry, rail transportation equipment, marine engineering equipment and intelligent manufacturing equipment etc.
