Bearing Steel Production in Jiangsu Suzhou Steel Group Co., Ltd Ranks Among Top 10 in China

According to the "National Bearing Steel Market and Development Seminar" hosted by Jiangsu Suzhou Steel Group Co., Ltd on April 1, bearing steel production in Suzhou Steel Group has ranked among top 10 in China, meanwhile by the end of "Twelfth Five-Year", the group will set up manufacturing enterprises to produce bearing steel and steel used for automotive engines, which will rank first three in the domestic related industry.
The seminar has totally invited 25 units including China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group to discuss China's bearing and bearing steel production. "China is a big country in bearing steel, but not a giant country. It is difficult to see Chinese bearing on bullet trains with the speed above 160km/h, meanwhile the bearing steel in aircraft and other aerospace area was all developed by the developed countries. Generally speaking, the life of bearing steel in China is just 1/2 of the Japanese bearing steel, some is even the 1/4. In the process of manufacturing Chinese bearing steel, it is always put more emphasis on accuracy instead of the material. Though you may own a large market, you may just occupy the low-end market if do not make improvement on the quality." said Lei Jian, one of the experts participated this seminar.
It is said that Jiangsu Suzhou Steel Group Co., Ltd will viorously develop special steel, especially moving toward the direction of bearing steel and steel used for automotive engines. In the meanwhile, the group will make vehicle carbon chromium bearing steel as the main develop aspect in the future, thus to further explore the advanced processing & technology which will be suitable for bearing steel manufacturing and also establish the distinctive high-quality bearing steel production line. Additionally, Suzhou Steel also actively strengthen the cooperation with ZYS, China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group, Shanghai University, Chongqing University, Northeastern University and other research institutions & universities to build influential bearing steel R & D base.
During the period of "Twlefth Five-Year", Suzhou Steel will invest nearly 2.1 billion yuan for establishing specialised manufacturing enterprises of bearing steel and steel used for automotive engines. In the first phase, the group will invest 600 million yuan to build a production line with the annual production capacity of 600,000 tons bearing steel and steel used for automotive engines, which will be planned to put into operation in 2012. Then the group will invest another 1.5 billion yuan to build a one million tons electric stove, large bar production line used for producing Euro 3 & Euro 4 standard heavy truck crankshaft and large high-quality bearing steel, which will be estimated to put into operation in 2015.
