Weekly Review of Bearing Steel Market in China (May 27th to June 3rd, 2011)

The bearing steel price in this week basically kept stable. Up to this weekend, the national average price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of 50mm was 6,418 yuan/ton; the national average price of GCr15 die-casting annealed steel of 100mm was 7,964 yuan/ton, kept balance with the price in last week. In East China, the mainstream strike price of GCr15 continuous casting non-annealed steel of the second tier plants was between 6,300 yuan/ton and 6,400 yuan/ton; the mainstream strike price of continuous casting annealed steel was between 6,900 yuan/ton and 6,950 yuan/ton. The market deal in this week is common with the insufficient market resources, meanwhile merchants inventory were still in the low level. Recently, the mainstream steel plant has been keeping stable while some steel plants increased their bearing steel price, for example, Xing Steel increased about 50 yuan/ton, but it would not influence the whole market. It is estimated that the price of bearing steel market in next week will still keep stable.
On the aspect of furnace material, the overall resoure of the domestic iron powder market kept stable with slight dropping in this week. The market of imported ore in this week still ran in weakness with fewer inquiry. The domestic pig iron market in this week kept stable with the common market deal, and the price of cast iron & ductile iron slightly dropped in some regions. The scrap market in this week kept stable with the slight of increasing in some enterprises. The special billet market in this week maintained stable with fewer market deal. The overall coke market in this week kept stable with the common deal. The market price for chromium alloy market in this week decreased; the imported chrome ore market in this week remain dropped.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China market ran in weakness with the common market deal. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 6,450 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 non-annealed steel was 6,300 yuan/ton; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,500yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 6,700 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 6,300 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was out of stock. This week the bearing steel price in Wuxi market basically kept stable, meanwhile the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 6,700 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was between 6,900yuan/ton and 6,950 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was between 6,350 yuan/ton and 6,400 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,350 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,550 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang market kept stable; the deal was common. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Luoyang market was as follows: Shougang Group GCr15Φ12-25 annealed steel was 6,650 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 non-annealed steel was 6,350yuan/ton, out of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,700yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,800yuan/ton, out of stock; Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,750yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 6,350yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,900yuan/ton. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 non-annealed steel was 6,250yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ30-50 heat treatment rolled steel was 6,300yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton and die casting annealed steel was 7,900yuan/ton; GCr15Φ42-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton, continuous casting annealed steel was 6,700yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Shenyang market was basically stable and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton, GCr15Φ35-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,600yuan/ton, GCr15Φ100 die casting non-annealed steel was 7,100yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 6,100 yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market was basically stable and the deal was small. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,800yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton and GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,800yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week the price of bearing steel in Chengdu market was basically stable and the steel resource was not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 7,000 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ120-170 die casting annealed steel was 7,900 yuan/ton; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 7,700 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,800 yuan/ton with a few of stock. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was not sufficient, but the price was basically stable. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat treatment annealed steel was out of stock; Xining SteelΦ80-120 rolled annealing steel was 6,700yuan/ton, out of stock; part of Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,200 yuan/ton, part of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealing steel was 7,600 yuan/ton with a few of stock.
