Recently, it was known from Hubei Technological Innovation Prize Conference that “The New Technology and Industrialization of the GCr15 Bearing Steel Wire for Rolling Element” developed by Wuhan Iron & Steel Group Echeng Iron & Steel Co., Ltd won the third prize for progress in Science and Technology in Hubei Province. It is the first time that scientific and technological achievements of Wuhan Iron & Steel Group Echeng Iron & Steel Co., Ltd won the prize. In addition, new product development of Wuhan Iron & Steel Group Echeng Iron & Steel Co., Ltd showed powerful trends. The new trial products amounted to 187,600 tons, which completed the 35.4% of annual target and created a new high record over the same period of past several years. As of the end of April, the company successfully completed the first round of trial task of high-quality carbon structural steel converter 65Mn; the trial production of steel 09MnNiDR for low-temperature pressure vessel passed the judgment of Beijing Tolerance Standard Committee with the end products acceptability of 100%.
