Weekly Review of Bearing Steel Market in China (September 24th to September 30th, 2011)

The bearing steel price in this week was relatively stable, the overall market slightly fluctuated due to the influence of the national holidays. The national average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,271 yuan/ton, increased 3 yuan/ton compared with the price in last week. The mainstream quotation for the second tier steel plant in South China maintained between 5,900 yuan/ton and 6,100 yuan/ton, meanwhile the market overall inventory did not obviously changed. It is estimated that the bearing steel price will be weak after the national holidays, meanwhile the price may still drop to certain extent.
The overall domestic iron essence pink market was weak, the price dropped in most of regions, especially for North China. The quotation for imported ore market in this week slightly dropped with fewer inquiries, meanwhile the deal was quite common. The domestic pig iron market in this week dropped, the overall deal was light. The stock deal for overall DRI market slightly improved, meanwhile the price for stock deal kept balance with that in last week, price for the mainstream market deal was weak reflected by some merchants. The domestic square billet market still dropped in this week, though the price improved in Wednesday for some regions, the after-ward market price will continue to decrease. The overall scrap market in this week decreased under the condition of weakness, the procurement prices dropped for Shagang scrap, thus the scrap market obviously dropped in Jiangsu. The anthractite market in this week basically kept stable. The coking coal in this week still rose, in the meanwhile, the deal was quite well. The imported coke market slightly improved, though the transaction price slightly fluctuated. The overall coke market was stable, with the price did not obviously changed, and the deal was well. The coking plant did not have sufficient coke stock. The common alloy market was stable, the special alloy market was quite different. The quotation for chromium alloy was weak with more demand, and the price for imported chromium alloy was weak, meanwhile the deal was light.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China market basically kept stable and the market deal did not improved.The price in Hangzhou market slightly adjusted, meanwhile the deal was much worse. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 non-annealed steel was 5,900 yuan/ton; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,400yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was between 5,900 yuan/ton and 5,950 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was between 6,000 yuan/ton and 6,050 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was out of stock. This week the bearing steel price in Wuxi market kept stable, meanwhile the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 6,650 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,800yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was between 6,100 yuan/ton and 6,150 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang market basically kept stable; the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Luoyang market was as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 annealed steel was 6,850 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,800yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton, out of stock, die-casting non-annealed steel was 6,300 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 6,250yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,900yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Wuhan market was basically steady and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 non-annealed steel was 6,050yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,250yuan/ton and die casting annealed steel was 7,800yuan/ton; GCr15Φ42-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Shenyang market slightly fluctuated and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,300yuan/ton, out of stock, GCr15Φ35-50 die casting annealed steel was 7,600yuan/ton, GCr15Φ100 die casting non-annealed steel was 7,250yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 6,300 yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market was basically stable and the deal was small. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 7,000yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,250yuan/ton and GCr15Φ100 die casting annealed steel was 7,800yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week the price of bearing steel in Chengdu market was stable and the market resource was not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ120-170 die casting annealed steel was 7,950 yuan/ton; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton with a few of stock. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was stable, Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat treatment annealed steel was out of stock; Xining SteelΦ80-120 rolled annealing steel was 6,800yuan/ton, out of stock; part of Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton, part of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,700 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealing steel was 7,700 yuan/ton with a few of stock.
