Weekly Review of Bearing Steel Market in China (November 5th to November 11th, 2011)

The bearing steel price in this week slightly decreased with few deal, meanwhile the market demand was low. Now the national average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,071 yuan/ton, dropped 25 yuan/ton compared with the price in last week. The mainstream quotation for the second tier steel plant in South China was between 5,500 yuan/ton and 5,600 yuan/ton. Now the inventory slightly reduced, yet the market price maintained to keep low due to the bad overall delivery, in the meanwhile, the bearing steel market showed weak influenced by the steel market, purchasing for the downstream enterprises was not positive, furthermore, steel plant also declined their delivery price to some extent. It is estimated that bearing steel market in next week will continue to slightly drop, while no sever fluctuation as before.
The overall domestic iron essence pink market kept stable while increased for some regions, but the acutal deal was not ideal. The imported ore market maintained the decline trend as last week, meanwhile purchasing for steel plant was weak, thus the market deal was quite small. The domestic pig iron market in this week slightly released, but prices still in disorder, and inquiries slightly improved compared with the prior term. The DRI market kept stable under weakness, with the common stock deal in some regions. The domestic square billet market slightly adjusted, with price increased in some regions, except for Tangshan area, the overall market price kept stable. The domestic scrap market in this week adjusted with weakness, price kept stable for most of regions while price increased for some regions due to the significant declining in the previous period. The overall coking coal market in this week declined with light deal. The imported coke market weakly adjusted, mearchants sold port stock at a quite low price so as to collect money, however, the market deal was still light. The coke coal stably operated with weakness with fewer deal, the market deal was much better than before, meanwhile price basically kept stable. The common alloy market continued to keep weak, the special alloy market weakly operated. The price for chromium alloy continued to drop with light deal, the price for imported chromium ore market declined while inquiries increased.
[East China Region] This week the bearing steel price in East China basically stable and the market deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Hangzhou market was as follows: Daye Nonferrous GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 5,650 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 non-annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton; Shanghai No. 5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat treatment spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat treatment non-annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 heat treatment annealed steel was 5,650 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non annealed steel was out of stock. This week the bearing steel price in Wuxi market kept stable, meanwhile the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotation in Wuxi market was as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot rolled non annealed steel was 6,250 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous annealed steel was 6,500yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,550yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton with a few of stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot rolled non-annealed steel was 5,900 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Luoyang market kept stable; the deal was common. Up to this weekend, the quotation in Luoyang market was as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 annealed steel was 6,800 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 non-annealed steel was 6,200yuan/ton; Xingyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,700yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton, out of stock, die-casting non-annealed steel was 6,200 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 6,150yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Wuhan market was stable and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 non-annealed steel was 6,000yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,250yuan/ton and die casting annealed steel was 7,800yuan/ton; GCr15Φ42-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,200yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week the bearing steel price in Shenyang market dropped and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,150yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 5,950 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 7,400 yuan/ton. This week the bearing steel price in Harbin market was basically stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat treatment annealed steel was 6,900yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,150yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week the price of bearing steel in Chengdu market basically kept stable and the market resource was not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton; Xining SteelΦ150-200 die casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton with a few of stock. This week the bearing steel resource in Chongqing market was stable, Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat treatment annealed steel was out of stock; Xining SteelΦ80-120 rolled annealing steel was 6,700yuan/ton, out of stock; part of Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton, part of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealing steel was 7,600 yuan/ton with a few of stock.
