The bearing steel prices in this week kept stable. Up to Friday, the average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel nationwide was 5694 yuan/ton, 3 yuan/ton increased compared with the price in last weekend, and the prevailing quotations for continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second ranking steel plants in South China was 5,300 to 5,400 yuan/ton. The bearing steel market witnessed no big change in this week, but the rising momentum gradually emerged. Many steel mills made relevant substantial adjustments to their prices, where in Xinyegang raised the price to 100 yuan/ton, Xingcheng 100 yuan/ton, Xining 50 yuan/ton, and Dalian 100 yuan/ton. Although the market prices now did not immediately keep up with the adjustment pace of steel mills, the market mentality had greatly improved, and traders held enough confidence in the market outlook with strong will of price increase. The price is expected to rise to some extent as the bearing steel market is now under the guidance of the steel price adjustments.
The domestic fine iron powder market stayed stable in this week. The imported ore market price showed slight increase by stimulation of continuous stabilization of the prices of the steel and steel billet. The marine market price continued to rise as a whole, with small and medium-sized vessels leading the market recovery. The domestic pig iron market prices in most areas kept stable, with a narrow range of fluctuations in a few areas. The actual transaction price was slightly lower than the offer, the market deal was commom, with high stocks remianing in some steel mills. The direct reduced iron market ran smoothly as a whole, and the spot transactions showed signs of weakness, with the downstream market demand being obviously insufficient. The domestic steel price continued to pull up, fluctuating between 20 and 90 yuan/ton. The demand became better, and the transaction appeared to be good. The domestic scrap market went up on a stable basis while the turnover situation remained commom around China. The overall coking coal market was in the weak consolidation situation, with slight improvement in the transaction. The imported coal market remained weak operation on a stable basis, maintaining a narrow range of fluctuations. As no price reduction agreement was achieved between some steel mills sand the upstream coking enterprises in last week, the domestic coke market price continued to fall, but major price-drop region was moved from North China to East China. The common alloy market was still in the weak status. The special alloy market ran in the weakness consolidation, accompanied by slight price fall of some products. The quotations of ferrochrome had stabilized with less impact of the steel procurement, but the market was in the weak consolidation status due to the lack of confidence in the domestic market. The chrome ore market performance was in the doldrums and the deal was in a stalemate situation.
[East China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in East China market experienced slight increase and the market deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Hangzhou market are as follows: Xinye GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 5,300 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,250 to 5,300 yuan/ton; Shanghai No.5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat-treated spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 5,700 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,350 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,400 to 3,450 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was out of stock. This week, the
bearing steel prices in Wuxi market kept stable, and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotations in Wuxi market are as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,150 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,350 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was around 5,350 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Luoyang market kept stable and the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Luoyang market are as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,500yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,700yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, out of stock, and the die-casting non-annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 5,500 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel prices in Wuhan market kept stable and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 non-annealed steel was 5,350 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,950yuan/ton, GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,900 yuan/ton, and the die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Shenyang market kept stable and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,800 yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 5,250 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Harbin market maintained stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,750 yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Chengdu market kept stable and the market resources were not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,450 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ150-200 die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, less stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Chongqing market remained stable. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Xining Steel Φ80-120 rolled annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton, some of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, less stock.
