The bearing steel prices increased in this week. Up to Friday, the average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel nationwide was 5764 yuan/ton, 54 yuan/ton increased compared with last week, and the prevailing quotations for continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second ranking steel plants in South China was from 5,400 to 5,500 yuan/ton. The volume of goods arrived in the bearing steel market in this week was relatively large and the inventory level in various regions was greatly improved. Stimulated by the arrival of sufficient resources, many traders got the idea to raise the selling price, and the current market mentality was getting better, with more positive market outlook held by most traders. That is why there is still potential for price rising even though the turnover is not very gratifying. The price in bearing steel market is expected to have some room for rising next week, but the turnover is not very optimistic due to the holidays.
This week, the domestic iron concentrate market in northern area continued the weak tendency. The quoted price in the imported ore market was in the downtrend as a whole, the inquiry was relatively light, and the trading volume was very low. The marine market continued the upward trend following last week but much stronger. However, it was still in the weak tendency compared to same period last year. The prices in the domestic pig iron market remained stable, the transactions were not smooth, and the inventory level was somewhat increased in comparison with last week. The direct reduction iron spot market remained the vulnerable operation, where the spot transactions were slightly weak, and the purchase quantity remained stable in the downstream market. The domestic steel billet market ran in the weak trend, where the prices dropped as a whole. In some areas, the scrap market continued the vulnerable operation with the market mentality getting worse, but traders became more positives in deliver from godown than last week. The coking coal market stabilized in a weak tendency, and the deal was light. The imported coal market ran in the vulnerable state where there were both ups and downs in the quoted prices of spot goods, and the transactions were acceptable. The coke market ran in the weak trend, where the price range expanded, with the prices fell to 10-40 yuan/ton in the some main coke-producing areas. The common alloy market was in the steady operation as a whole. As for the special alloy market, the prices of some goods fell while others remained stable.
[East China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in East China market kept stable in a bullish mood and the market deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Hangzhou market are as follows: Xinye GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 5350 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,300 yuan/ton; Shanghai No.5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat-treated spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300 yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 5,700 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,400 to 5450 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,450 to 5,500 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was out of stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Wuxi market witnessed slight adjustments, and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotations in Wuxi market are as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,150 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was around 5,400 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,400 to 5,450 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Luoyang market kept stable and the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Luoyang market are as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,700 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, out of stock, and the die-casting non-annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 5,500 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel prices in Wuhan market kept stable and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,000yuan/ton, GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,950 yuan/ton, and the die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Shenyang market increased and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,450 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 5,250 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Harbin market maintained stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,750 yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Chengdu market increased and the market resources were not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6050 yuan/ton, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,450 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ150-200 die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was6,500 yuan/ton, less stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Chongqing market increased. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Xining Steel Φ80-120 rolled annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,050 yuan/ton, some of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, less stock.
