The bearing steel prices showed the stable trend in this week. Up to Friday, the average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel nationwide was 5773 yuan/ton, and the prevailing quotations for continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second ranking steel plants in South China was from 5,350 to 5,450 yuan/ton. After the consolidation shock in last week, the bearing steel market has entered the vulnerable consolidation situation this week. For now, traders have become more pessimistic. Although the quoted price did not change significantly, they still shows no optimistic attitude towards the market outlook. The overall market demand was low, the transaction performance was poor, and it is less posible to turn good in a short period of time, thus further cooling the enthusiasm for purcurement of the down-stream enterprises. With the introduction of macroeconomic indicators in succession in April, the overall economic trend still showed no obvious good signs, and affected by the price fluctuation of thread, wire, etc., the bearing steel market prices is expected to have the possibility to keep dropping next week.
Due to the continuous decline in prices of steel and steel billet, the price of domestic iron concentrate powder fell in all parts of China this week. The price of the imported ore kept falling all the way which is rare in this year. The price in the marine market firstly rose and then fell, with the overall situation still in slight downward trend. The prices in the domestic pig iron market continued to fall, the deal was light, and the stock level slightly increased compared with last week. The direct reduction iron market maintained the weak operation as a whole, where the trading volume of spot goods was still ordinary due to the general decline in prices of some varieties in last week. The domestic steel billet market was still in the vulnerable downstream channel, with the range of price drop in most parts around China being 30 to 50 yuan per ton. Though the price fell at a lower rate compared with last week, the overall downstream demand was still not great. The transaction situation is difficult to improve, so vendors mainly held the wait and see attitude. The market was in a pessimistic atmosphere, and the outlook is not optimistic. The prices in domestic scrap market continued to decline, and the range of price drop in cumulative sales was larger, which in fact the largest in this year, with the prices in most of the steel mills decreased by more than 100 yuan/ton. The coking coal market ran in the consolidation status, where the transaction situation was temporarily slow, the pressure on the stock of coals was relatively high, the prices in some areas became loosened, and the will of price adjustment was still strong. The imported coal market was still dominated by weak consolidation, where the port spot quotations were mixed with ups and downs. The coke prices continued the downward adjustment. The alloy market as a whole rose and fell alternatively. Most varieties were in the downturn trend, while some varieties became demanding, and the prices rose significantly.
[East China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in East China market kept stable, and the market deal was light with higher inventory level. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Hangzhou market are as follows: Xinye GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 5350 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,350 yuan/ton; Shanghai No.5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat-treated spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300 yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 5,750 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,450 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,450 to 5,500 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was out of stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Wuxi market was basicly stable, and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotations in Wuxi market are as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,150 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was around 5,400 to 5,450 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,450 to 5,500 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Luoyang market slightly increased and the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Luoyang market are as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,700 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, out of stock, and the die-casting non-annealed steel was 5,500 to 5,550 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 5,550 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel prices in Wuhan market increased and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton, GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,950 yuan/ton, and the die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Shenyang market remained stable and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 5,400 to 5,450 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Harbin market maintained stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,750 yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Chengdu market increased and the market resources were not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6100 yuan/ton, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,450 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ150-200 die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, less stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Chongqing market kept stable. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Xining Steel Φ80-120 rolled annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,050 yuan/ton, some of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, less stock.
